Smoothie Sunday. . . Superfood Edition

Who couldn't use more energy? This smoothie is designed for a post workout or meal replacement. It's full of all the good stuff, but higher in calories than most of my shakes. It's delicious and satisfying and gets the job done. 

It has a little more fruit than my normal Smoothie Sundays! But of course, I found a way to enjoy the sugar and counteract it at the same time. That's what the Coconut Oil is for!

 

Ingredients . . .

1/2 Avocado

1/2 Banana

1/2 Apple 

1 Kiwi

Dash of Ginger

Dash of Cinnamon

Dash of Turmeric

Handful of Spinach

1 cup of Coconut Milk

1 Tspn Coconut Oil

1 Scoop of Dale's Protein (I effing love DALE'S!!)

**To make this shake a little sweeter use a whole banana or whole apple (or both whole).

**I use extra ginger and turmeric but to the normal tongue, this may taste a little weird, so ease into it.

**A tspn of honey would also do well in this shake. 

**If you don't have protein powder use a full avocado instead of half. 

Blend well in a Vitamix with lots of ice. Enjoy right away! 

This shake is loaded with antioxidants, anti-inflammatory properties, fiber, flavanoids, healthy fats, vitamin's c, b5, b6, e, k, folate, potassium!!! xo.
