Hi everyone! I’m so excited to share the details of Savor on Central, a unique event I recently attended at CityScape Phoenix. This event was hosted by Cloth & Flame, who specializes in hosting dining events in the most stunning outdoor spaces.
This particular event took place here in Phoenix and was so special because they actually shut down Central Avenue to host a 7-course dinner and celebrate Phoenix food and cocktails.
The dinner took place at the most gorgeous table right in the middle of the street on Central Ave. The 7-course meal was collaborative as it featured dishes from several local restaurants: Blue Hound Kitchen, Fox's The Arrogant Butcher, Chico Malo, The Strand, and Copper Blues.
I was so honored and excited to be invited to this rare event as I am a big fan of these CityScape restaurants and I love Cloth & Flame’s mission.
The menu was so expansive and amazing, and every dish was delicious. They started us off with several yummy appetizers such as Bruschetta with fresh mozzarella, tomato, basil, garlic, balsamic reduction and grilled rustic bread. There was also Caprese with Roma tomato, fresh mozzarella, basil, sundried tomato, Kalamata olives and balsamic reduction. However, my favorite was the Ricotta Gnocci, it was so good as it featured sage, brown butter, toasted walnuts and parmigiano reggiano.
The entrees were equally impressive, there was Red Wine Braised Short Rib with potato puree, roasted spring vegetables and horseradish gremolata which was so good. They also offered Shrimp and Grits and Seared Porkbelly with creamy grits, andouille sausage, tomatoes and green onions. Not only did everything taste great, but the presentation was gorgeous as well. It was truly such a rare and special dining experience.
Something else that I thought was amazing about this event, is that they want every attendee to indulge with purpose as 10% of all proceeds benefit the Sonoran Institute. If you’re interested in attending one of these unique events, you can click here to learn more.
