I Love Maui

Maui is the best! I wanted to share our favorite spots with you so your trip can be a success when you visit.

My favorite store to shop is hands-down Mahina! It's so affordable and non-floral Hawaiian vibey.. I CAN'T control myself.

We've been to Maui three times for pretty lengthy stays. Our first trip we stayed at The Four Seasons, second at The Fairmont, and third at the Andaz. We didn't really love the Fairmont, except for the slide! The Four Seasons was wonderful, especially the adult infinity pool at the top where you can get spa services. But the Andaz is definitely my pick in Wailea. Andaz hotels can be hit or miss but this one is new and has a wonderful staff. Amazing food choices, especially the buffet. And great shopping. Tip: Skip Morimoto. There's also one in Napa that we've TRIED to like over and over again and time and time again we feel it's overrated. We've gone twice to the one in the Andaz Wailea and it was very subpar. Not worth the prices. Eat local.

The best place for Hawaiian Shave Ice on the island is Ululani's in Kihei. It's a nice little stop after brunch at Kihei Caffe. Don't miss Kihei Caffe!! The people that work there are extremely rude locals. But you can overlook that once you have their food and coffee.

Our favorite dinner spot is/was Capishe in Hotel Wailea. They've since changed the name of the restaurant to The Restaurant at Hotel Wailea. I'm not sure if it's the same, but it's worth a shot. Incredible views, especially at sunset. Be sure to book your sunset spot early on and ask for a table at the top, not in the garden. If you're eating at night, the garden is very romantic, but if you're going for sunset then you will want to sit where you can see it.
